I belong to a book club consisting of four ladies. We all have military connection and we all have been a book club for a year. This has been one of our better choices. We are forties and fifties and we know the "to kill a mockingbird" movie but now we will know the book and that's just wonderful. I can't give an excellent rating because of the racial discrimination undertones. Ms. Lee is an excellent author and her work embodies that era of the sad 1930s. It's just amazing how the kids found joy in living in the south in that unfortunate time and place. My last thoughts are that whomever has seen the movie needs to read the book or if nothing else listen to the book on audible dot com.
