Review of "Terrorism and Global Disorder"
Terrorism has become a complete phenomenon in itself and has got great nuisance in its very name. One of the most widely discussed topics in the present era, modern day terrorism has its roots in those events which were left unattended even till the end of the last century. Author, Adrian Guelke, wrote his first book on terrorism in an emerging post colonial era perspective, dating from late 60s. This book, has been written in a more recent perspective where 9/11 has become a symbolic figure deciding every international affair in its pre- and post- 9/11 dimension. The basic research purpose of this book is to analyze that whether 9/11 was fundamentally turning point for the world politics or not. The book studies the development of the phenomenon TERRORISM in the context of the global disorder and uncertainty which followed the end of the cold war. Author also brings forward that how actual threat of terrorism is magnified manifolds by different states to consume money and time of governments. It tries to explain that democratizing of nations by holding all parties elections can not minimize the threat of terrorism, until and unless the very root causes and nature of terrorism are not being addressed in their true sense.
