A forgotten collection of the supernatural

This extremely rare collection is a selection of weird and supernatural stories, translated from the French of Auguste Vitu.

Originally published in 1860 as  'Contes à dormir Debout', Paris : Hachette (reprint in 1872, Calmann-Lévy), it is a well written and entertaining collection...
