This collection is not just scattered papers of a Botany Professor.  Professor Bartlett kept a detailed, entertaining, personal journal all his adult life about his international travel, research, botanical studies, ethnographic studies, and collaboration with government agencies and universities around the world. These 49 giant leather-bound journals recount his amusing observations on all areas of life and not just his field of botany.

To review a sample of Professor Bartlett's writing, read the single volume highlights of his 1926-1959 journals edited by Professor Kenneth Jones.  Only 200 print copies were printed in 1975, but someone has created an electronic copy you can access via WorldCat.

Professor Jones presented the limited edition books only to colleagues, collaborators, friends, and family of Professor Bartlett.  Some print copies of the book made it into academic libraries indexed on WorldCat.
