I could not put this book down. It is about two sisters who are slaves in NYC during the Revolutionary War. One of the sisters has epilepsy and the other takes it upon herself to protect her sister. Anderson tells an amazing story. At the beginning of each chapter are actual quotes and newspaper clippings.
