Description: This performance will include works by Terry Riley, including “The Welcoming Baptism of Sweet Daisy Grace,” “One Earth, One People, One Love” from Sun Rings and “Good Medicine” from Salome Dances for Peace. Riley, one of the first minimalist composers, is largely credited with launching the movement by the composition of a work entitled "In C." The list below contains recordings of Riley's Salome, as well recordings and a score of "In C," as well as a book that examines the piece from an analytical perspective.
